Riga Service Department
The service focuses on providing support to women and their children who have been victims of violence. Its goal is to help them leave abusive relationships and restore a safe, dignified life.
The department provides free legal, psychological and social assistance, as well as rehabilitation programs and support groups. The service department cooperates with municipalities, specialists and state institutions throughout Latvia to strengthen the rights and safety of victims.

Development Cooperation Department
The Development Cooperation Department forms partnerships with organizations in other countries, sharing knowledge and experience in the field of gender equality and women's rights.
Projects are being implemented in Central Asia, Eastern Europe and elsewhere, strengthening the capacity of local organizations, promoting women's participation and improving the legal framework. The work of the Development Cooperation Department helps to create a fairer world also beyond the borders of Latvia - in countries where change is especially needed.

Advocacy Department
The Advocacy Department advocates for women's rights at the political and legislative levels. The department's work is focused on sustainable change - so that violence is not tolerated in Latvia and support is available to every victim.
Proposals are being developed to improve laws, the ratification of the Istanbul Convention has been achieved, electronic monitoring for abusers has been implemented, the Plan for the Prevention and Combating of Violence against Women and Domestic Violence for 2024-2029 has been implemented, as well as other significant amendments to laws and improvements in state policy that strengthen protection and support for victims of violence have been achieved. The work of the Advocacy Department is focused on systemic changes - so that Latvia becomes a country where violence is not tolerated and support is available to everyone.

Prevention Department
The Prevention Department focuses on preventing violence among young people. Its goal is to create a society in which respectful, equal, and safe relationships are the norm from the school day onwards.
Educational activities for young people are organized – lectures, workshops, classes – where young people gain knowledge and create dialogue about healthy relationships, emotional intelligence, recognizing violence and other important topics. The Prevention Department cooperates with international partners, as well as schools, educators and specialists throughout Latvia, to create awareness and prevent violence at its root.

Communication Department
The Communications Department shapes the public image of the MARTA Center and ensures that the organization's message reaches the public - clearly, responsibly, and meaningfully.
The Communications Department creates content for media, social media, and information campaigns, helping the public better understand forms of violence, support options, and the importance of gender equality. Communication at the MARTA Center is part of creating change.
