Addressing Sexual Bullying in Europe

Throughout Europe, sexual bullying, i.e. bullying that has a sexual dimension or dynamic, or is based on a person’s gender or sexuality, is increasingly prevalent and can lead to ill health, school absence and at times suicide. Calling someone names because they have or haven’t had sex, sharing sexy photos without the person’s permission, spreading rumours about someone’s sexuality - these are only a few examples of sexual bullying.

Save Yourself, Stop the Violence

The aim of the project is to eliminate domestic violence against women by providing effective protection of female victims` rights both on an individual and national level. The project envisages providing effective and professional support and assistance for women suffering from domestic violence, facilitating changes in policies and legislation in line with the international human rights, as well as facilitating effective law enforcement when dealing with cases of domestic violence.

Zero Tolerance for Child Abuse

Supported by: World Childhood Foundation Project length: 1 January 2013—31 December 2013 Target group: Abused children – both girls and boys and their non-violent family members In 2012, project “Zero Tolerance for Child Abuse”, supported by the World Childhood Foundation, established a multidisciplinary team. The team has provided assistance and support to 7 families that experience children’s sexual and physical abuse. Specialists continue to provide support and assistance to these families at Centre Marta.
